Katherine Gallo is a renowned expert in complex discovery issues, having developed a reputation with her extensive discovery seminars, in-house discovery training and in-depth articles on the discovery process.
Since 1994, Katherine has served as a court appointed or party selected private Discovery Referee or Special Master in over 200 hotly litigated matters covering the fields of business, insurance, construction, employment, real estate, family law and personal injury. Appointments have come from the Superior Courts of Alameda, Contra Costa, Sacramento, San Benito, San Joaquin Santa Clara, San Mateo and Sonoma counties.
Since 1995, Katherine Gallo has also handled more than 200 cases as a mediator or Pro-tem Settlement Judge with a settlement rate in excess of 90 percent. Cases cover the areas of real property, personal injury, product liability, elder abuse, construction defect (including liens and construction operations losses), employment (including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour claims), business disputes and the Lemon Law.
Her extensive experience also includes serving as Research Attorney for the Law and Motion Departments of the Alameda and San Mateo County Superior Courts, which translates into a unique perspective on the court process. Her responsibilities included all discovery motions as well as mediation of ongoing complex discovery disputes.
Throughout all the work she's done, Ms. Gallo maintains a proven track record of success as she carries a 90% settlement rate in mediation and settlement matters. She takes pride in accomplishing the parties’ and the courts’ objectives with regard to impartiality, timeliness and accuracy.
